Coquihalla Highway reopened between Hope and Merritt

Highway 5 has reopened after it was shut down early Tuesday morning as a result of several crashes near the Coquihalla Summit. Drive BC says it reopened shortly after 7 a.m.
Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a winter storm warning for the route and an additional 15 cm of snow is forecast to fall this morning.

Detours were available through Princeton along Highway 3 and 5A.
