A highly-anticipated all-electric grand prix set for Vancouver this summer will not be going ahead after all.
Organizers of the coming Formula E race have scrubbed the event indefinitely.
The City of Vancouver confirms, “One Stop Strategy Group” has elected to exercise its rights under its Host City Agreement to postpone the July event to a future date.
“After intensive review with the City of Vancouver, OSS Group has had to make the incredibly difficult decision to postpone Canadian E-Fest until 2023. The City of Vancouver fully supports the postponement. Delivery of a world class event is of the utmost importance to the organization,” a statement reads.

The City says it will continue to work with OSS Group to announce a new date soon.
Organizers had projected the three-day event to bring in upwards of $80 million and 3,000 jobs through 195 suppliers, of which would be 90 per cent local.
