BC Ferries busy Wednesday morning ahead of Canada Day

A very busy Wednesday morning on BC Ferries has left many people waiting at the Tsawwassen terminal.
As of 6:30 a.m., there was already a three sailing wait for passengers wanting to go to Vancouver Island’s Swartz Bay terminal.
The 7:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m., and 9:00 a.m. sailings are all booked up, so those without a reservation may find themselves out of luck.

There does remain an alternate route, as travellers could go to Duke Point in Nanaimo instead, but that route is also looking busy with the first available sailing with room at 12:45 p.m.
There are no sailings waits for the Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay route either, however, a round-trip sailing on the Queen of Alberni has been cancelled due to engine troubles.
