Abbotsford police find woman with serious injuries from stabbing

Abbotsford officers came across a woman with stab wounds while doing their patrols early Thursday.
Police say it happened at 2:38 a.m. when officers found a 37-year-old woman with serious injuries near Gladwin Road and South Fraser Way.
The woman received medical care on the scene for stab wounds, then was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The case has been taken over by AbbyPD Major Crime Unit (MCU), supported by the Forensic Identification Section (FIS).
AbbyPD says the investigation is ongoing and are still looking for a motive and a suspect.
Police are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage from those who may have been in the area before and after the incident.
