Passengers at Vancouver International Airport en route to the United States are now being allowed to “skip the security” line.
The airport has launched “YVR Express”, which allows people to schedule specific times to enter security screening and avoid waiting in queue.
Introducing YVR EXPRESS! This new program allows travellers going from YVR to the U.S. to skip the security screening line by booking a reservation ahead of time. Read more about this innovative technology here:https://t.co/cHkjSqgxAD pic.twitter.com/qZ4UQ0QenA

The service is only available to travellers heading to the U.S who are starting their journey in Vancouver for flights scheduled between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Passengers have to provide their airline, destination, flight number, and number of people in their party, as well as an email address to make their booking. From there, travellers just have to check their bags and walk up to the assigned security checkpoint within 15 minutes of their scheduled time.
YVR warns on its website that there are limited times available for the expedited service and recommends scheduling your appointment as soon as possible. You can do so up to 72 hours in advance of your flight.
