Police look to identify downtown Vancouver assault suspect

Vancouver police have released video footage of a suspect believed to be involved in the assault of three women late last summer.

The VPD says in the early morning of Sept. 19, three women in their 20s were assaulted by a group of strangers while walking near Smithe Street and Hornby Street in downtown Vancouver.

The women suffered injuries to their arms and faces, police say.

The department has released footage of one of the suspects involved, hoping the public will be able to identify her.

Police say the woman is in her 20s with long, dark hair, and was wearing a black top, blue jeans, and white shoes.

Anyone who recognizes the woman in the video is asked to call the VPD at 604-717-4021.
