City of Delta officials are warning residents of “very high” flood risks with an expected significant storm surge Monday morning.
They said the warning stems from a forecast that calls for an “extreme high tide” at around 8:40 a.m., which will be accompanied by strong winds.
In a statement, City staff said neighbourhoods in Beach Grove and Boundary Bay are at a “very high” risk of flooding. They said that chance of flooding carries over into Tuesday morning.
