A Vancouver cat café has been saved from imminent closure, after it’s GoFundMe skyrocketed to reach over its $100,000 goal.

Catoro Pets, a café that helps rescue cats find their fur-ever homes and provides an area where people can come and just spend time with the animals, launched the page after facing “serious hurdles.”

But in danger of closing, the group sent out a last-ditch cry for help to make ends meet.

Well, the cry was heard by cat lovers, and less than a week later, the café was saved.

In a social media post Thursday, Catoro announced it reached its fundraising goal.

“All we can say is thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Everyone here at Catoro is absolutely overwhelmed in the best way — we’re so amazed and so, so grateful for all your support,” the café explained.

“We are so dang proud to be part of this cat-loving community! It really shows what an impact we can have, when we join forces for a good cause.”

According to the GoFundMe page, over 2,400 people donated to support the cause.

“Together we can help rescue cats and find them loving homes, all while having a positive impact on our community.”

Now, the group can continue with its furry mission and may be able to help even more cats.

“That would be the amount of money we would need to keep operating and allow us to expand the amount of cats we’re able to intake right now. Our goal is to rescue 300 Cats this year. And so we’d like to make enough money to kind of keep going as we are now and grow a little bit,” Annah Van Eeghen with the café said.

The cats are also up for adoption, and since opening Van Eeghen says over 800 cats have been adopted.
