Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim announced Monday Chief of Staff Kareem Allam is stepping down.
Allam managed the ABC campaign before becoming Sim’s chief of staff.
In his role, he helped oversee the mayor and council’s transition into Vancouver City Hall and set up the Mayor’s Office.
In a release, Sim says Allam was an important part of his team’s success to this point.
“None of what we have accomplished over the last 100 days would have been possible without Kareem’s effort and support,” said Sim. “I have a deep amount of respect and admiration for Kareem, both as a person and as a professional.”
Sim said he and the entire ABC team wish Allam success moving forward.
