Metro Vancouver school snow closures: North Shore classes suspended

Heavy snow has led to the closure of all public schools in North Vancouver and West Vancouver Tuesday.
The school boards for the respective districts have each issued alerts citing snowy and icy conditions
Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a snowfall warning for all of Metro Vancouver.

The North Shore in particular could see up to 10 centimetres of snow by mid-afternoon.
Blessed Sacrament School in Vancouver has also announced that it will be closed Tuesday due to snow. West Coast Christian School, and Corpus Christi School in Vancouver has also announced that classes will not be running.
In Coquitlam, Queen of All Saints School announced that it will be shuttered for the day.
As for post-secondary schools, Simon Fraser University says its Burnaby campus will be closed on Tuesday until 12 p.m., while the school’s Surrey and Vancouver campuses will be open at 10 a.m.

The University of British Columbia, the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and Langara College will all remain open.
