North Vancouver protester claims she is being threatened by Iranian regime supporters

A woman in North Vancouver says she will continue to protest against the Iranian government, despite what she claims are threats of intimidation.
Arezu Sultani says she has been subject to intimidation for the last six months both online and in person as a result of being involved in a number of local protests.
But a spokesperson for the North Vancouver RCMP says investigators have found no evidence to support Sultani’s allegations of being bullied.
“So far, anybody that’s made [a] complaint to us, we have investigated it and looked into it, we have found no evidence to support that claim,” Const. Mansoor Sahak explained.
However, Sultani claims that she has been followed home, and adds that a family member who lives in Iran has also been threatened.
“They even called my dad and they said, ‘you can tell your daughter in Canada to shut up and stop doing those activities,'” she said.
“That’s the message. Don’t come and don’t ask questions. This is how [the] Iranian regime is operating.”
She says things came to a head when her daughter was approached by a stranger at a bus stop.
“A lady came through and said, ‘I know your name I know your parents, I know which school you’re going [to]…I even know seven years ago you moved from Quebec to here. Tell your mom I said hi,” Sultani said.
Despite all this, Sultani says she will continue to protest.
Sultani is one of the thousands of protesters worldwide who are speaking out against the government of Iran after the death of Mahsa Amini in police custody.
