This comes after officers were called to the area on Feb. 13 for reports that a woman had been groped.

A month later, he was arrested in Abbotsford.

“This was a traumatizing incident for the victim, and impacted the community’s sense of safety,” Cst. Mansoor Sahak said.

“We are grateful to the public for helping bring this case to a resolution, and reaffirm our commitment to keep this community safe from those who seek to victimize others.”

Mounties note that the North Vancouver RCMP Special Victims unit can be reached at 604-985-1311 for victims of sexual assault.
