Police in Vancouver say a nightclub was the target of a “takeover-style” armed robbery in April, leaving one person seriously injured.
According to the Vancouver Police Department, it happened on April 9 at an establishment in Yaletown after hours. Two suspects are said to have entered the club, threatened staff with a gun and knife, and stole $25,000 in cash.
During the robbery, police say six people had their hands zip-tied and were “forcibly confined.” Investigators say one person was seriously assaulted, leaving them with a “life-altering injury.”
Officers say “a number of” suspects have been identified but no arrests have been made as more evidence is needed before charges can be recommended.
On Friday, police released security footage of a man who may have information about the incident.
