‘Vehicle incident’ closes Lougheed Highway in Maple Ridge

Lougheed Highway was closed in both directions between 240th Street and Spilsbury Street in Maple Ridge after a “vehicle incident” Tuesday evening.
BC Emergency Health Services says it received a call at 6:48 p.m. and deployed five units to the area. It adds that two people were transported to hospital with minor injuries.

In a tweet, DriveBC says crews are on scene and an assessment is currently in progress and to expect major delays in the area.

A caller to the CityNews traffic centre reports seeing a motorcycle involved in a collision and a person receiving medical attention.
