Months after the statue of a kneeling soldier was shoved off the Cloverdale Cenotaph in Surrey, Mounties have announced an arrest and charges of mischief.
The damage was done around 1:30 a.m. on March 29, with the incident captured on surveillance footage.
The RCMP says a suspect was identified and linked “to an additional act of mischief in the area,” including damage to security cameras at the Museum of Surrey.
Forty-two-year-old Lukasz Paprocki was arrested in mid July and has since been released on conditions.
He is charged with one count of mischief over $5,000 and one count of mischief under $5,000.
Paprocki is scheduled to appear in court in September.
