More Hullo delays after weekend cancellations

After a weekend of cancellations due to weather-related damage, Hullo customers were hoping for smooth sailing to start the week.

However, the ferry service was forced to once again cancel some sailings Monday, “as our crew works diligently to complete a repair.”

Both the 7 a.m. from Nanaimo and the 9 a.m. from Vancouver were scrapped. However, in an update at 9 a.m., the company said the necessary repairs had been done and that it would be ready to go for the rest of the day, starting with the 11 a.m. sailing from Nanaimo.

The Vancouver-to-Nanaimo fast ferry service cancelled all its Saturday and Sunday sailings, citing weather damage on one of its vessels following last week’s windstorm, as well as mechanical issues on a separate ferry.

The company says Customers with tickets on affected sailings Monday will be issued a refund. Those who do not get their money back on their original payment method are being asked to contact customer service at support@hullo.com.
