Mount Seymour vehicle passes brought in to control overcrowding

If you are planning on heading to Mount Seymour Provincial Park this winter, a vehicle day-use parking pass will once again be required.
The B.C. government says the decision is aimed at reducing “crowding and congestion” at the park, which includes facilities for skiing, snowshoeing, tubing, and tobogganing, so that more people can visit in a “responsible manner.”
The free passes will be in effect from Dec. 14 until Jan. 8, 2024, and on the weekends and holidays until the end of March.
The government adds Mount Seymour, located in North Vancouver, had over one million visitors in 2022 for winter activities.
It says the passes will be checked prior to park entry. There also may be limited cell service up there, so the province is recommending people bring a paper copy or download their passes on their phones just in case.
You’ll be able to book your parking pass up to two days in advance of your planned visit, starting at 7 a.m.
