North Van RCMP search for witnesses after child offered candy by stranger

North Vancouver RCMP are looking for witnesses after a 10-year-old boy was offered candy by a man in a white truck.

The Mounties say it happened near West 13th Street and Mahon avenue between noon and 1 p.m. on Dec. 4.

Police say the boy was walking to his friend’s house when the white truck drove by. They add he quickly became suspicious after the man in the passenger seat offered him candy, so he ran in the opposite direction towards a nearby library.
