Evo is expanding its service area, adding Burnaby to its list of home zones.
People using the car share service will now be able to pick up and drop off Evo vehicles all over the city, not just in the previous designated areas at BCIT, Metrotown, and Brentwood.
The company says it has also added 160 cars to its fleet over the past several months, with more expected to meet an anticipated increase in demand.
The expansion in Burnaby comes after city council voted last year to allow car sharing in the municipality.
Evo already has home zones in Vancouver, the City of North Vancouver, New Westminster, and Victoria. There is also limited availability in Surrey, the company explains.
Evo was created by BCAA and says it is one of the largest car sharing services in North America. There are more than 2,300 vehicles in Evo’s fleet.
