Pedestrian shoots at driver in Vancouver: VPD

Vancouver police say one person has been arrested after a pedestrian allegedly pulled a gun and shot at a driver over the weekend.

According to the VPD, it happened in the area of Commercial Drive and East 12th Avenue Saturday evening.

Investigators say the driver was forced to “slam on his brakes to avoid a jaywalker,” before the pair “exchanged words.”

That’s when “the pedestrian pulled a gun [and] shot at the driver,” the VPD explains.

The driver, who was not hit, called 911. Police say one person was later arrested, with the suspect still in custody.
