Vancouver Fire Rescue Services (VFRS) says crews were called to Vancouver General Hospital Monday for reports of an injured worker on the roof of the facility.
VFRS confirms to CityNews that firefighters, with the assistance of BC Emergency Health Services, were able to extract one person “with injuries.”
The worker was hurt on some scaffolding, and suffered a serious leg injury, fire crews say. They note he has been hospitalized and is expected to be okay.
Callers to CityNews reported seeing multiple fire trucks and emergency vehicles headed toward VGH Monday around noon.
