A suspect is in custody after a stolen golden retriever named Amber was rescued, North Vancouver police say.
Officers say the 6-year-old dog was taken from outside of a Shoppers Drug Mart on Lonsdale Avenue and East 13th Street Monday, after the owner briefly went inside.
A couple hours later, the RCMP posted that Amber had been safely rescued and a suspect remains in police custody.
“Thank you to everyone for sharing,” the RCMP wrote on X.
