TransLink speeds up service to summer destinations

TransLink announced changes to its service Monday, meant to offer better access to popular summer destinations.

Service has been added and wait times have been shortened along 11 routes to places like Stanley Park, English Bay, White Pine Beach, and White Rock.

TransLink claims wait times on the number 19 Metrotown Station route between East Broadway and Kingsway and Stanley Park have been shortened by six to nine minutes.

Starting Friday, June 28, TransLinks says its Bike Bus will also return with increased capacity. The specially equipped bus now has room for up to 10 bicycles to help connect cyclists with their sailings to and from the Bridgeport and the Tsawwassen ferry terminals.

All the other route changes begin Monday. You can read full details about the service changes on TransLink’s website.
