Fire crews extinguish small garbage fire in downtown Vancouver

Vancouver Fire Rescue Services says crews were called out to a small garbage fire on the rear of a building at Granville near Helmcken Street Thursday afternoon.
“Somebody lit some garbage on fire behind the building, so it just caused a lot of smoke,” VFRS told 1130 NewsRadio.
No injuries were reported, and the fire was knocked down quickly after crews reached the scene, VFRS says.
