Man arrested, charged after downtown Langley assault

The Langley RCMP says a man is in custody following an early morning assault on Sunday.

Mounties responded to reports of an assault on Fraser Highway between 200 and 201A streets around 6:15 a.m.

Details are limited, but police say they found the victim, who was later transported to hospital with “non-life-threatening injuries.”

In a release Monday, the Langley RCMP says a 34-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault and assault causing bodily harm.

Mounties say he’ll remain in custody until his next court appearance Wednesday.
