Crash clears, delays continue on HWY 99 from Delta to Richmond

A multi-vehicle crash on Highway 99 in Delta snarled traffic northbound into Richmond Wednesday morning.

The crash occurred in the left lane before Highway 17A, and traffic was backed up nearly to Highway 91.

Around 7:45 a.m., DriveBC reported that traffic was being allowed to pass the crash on the shoulder. An image from the scene showed tow trucks had arrived.

Around 8:40 a.m., DriveBC reported that the crash had cleared, but delays continue.

Drivers are advised to take the Alex Fraser Bridge as a detour.
