The same home, on 54 Avenue near 187 Street, was targeted by gunfire just weeks ago on Dec. 31.

“It appears that this incident is related to the ongoing series of extortions in Surrey,” said a police statement Sunday afternoon.
Similarly, no one was reported injured in the December incident, which is also suspected to be extortion-related.
Roads in the area were closed for several hours Sunday as investigators worked, but have since reopened.
The SPS is asking anyone with video of the incident or information about suspects to contact its non-emergency line at 604-599-0502, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.solvecrime.ca and quote file number 26-1423 (SU).
