Two injured in crash on Highway 17 through Surrey

Two people were hospitalized and Highway 17 was closed to westbound traffic Wednesday afternoon after a multi-vehicle crash in Surrey’s Fraser Heights area.
The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says emergency crews responded to the crash, and closed westbound lanes starting from 104 Avenue around 12:20 p.m.

“BCEHS transported two people to an area hospital with various injuries, including at least one in serious, but stable, condition,” said a police update.
Eastbound traffic was also temporarily reduced to one lane. The road reopened Wednesday evening.
Police advised people to avoid the area for at least for several hours as they investigated the cause of the crash.
