Officers found and arrested a 35-year-old suspect. He was later charged with breaking and entering.

Police say the suspect was released into “another Lower Mainland community” in March under several court-ordered conditions, including house arrest.

At the beginning of April, the AbbyPD responded to another residential break-in on Bevan Avenue, just south of the orginal incident.

The same 35-year-old man was “quickly identified as the suspect.”

The AbbyPD’s Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) took over the investigation and re-arrested him last week.

Police say he remains in custody and now faces several charges, including five counts of breaching a release order, breaking and entering, and possessing break-in instruments.
