5 people and 1 dog displaced in Surrey house fire

The Surrey Fire Services (SFS) says five people were displaced after a fire broke out in a two-story residential building near the intersection of 154 Street and 104 Avenue in Surrey on Sunday.
SFS Assistant Chief Carl Schmor tells 1130 NewsRadio that 17 firefighters and four fire trucks responded to the scene around noon.

“There was nobody inside the house; there was one dog that was brought out uninjured.”
However, five people are now displaced as a result of the fire.
Shortly after arriving, firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze.
SFS has not revealed yet what ignited the fire.
“The inspector will be attending to determine what the cause was,” Schmor said.
The Surrey Police Service was on scene as well to temporarily close 154 Street while firefighters were dealing with the blaze.
The road closures have now been lifted.
