About Jan

Jan is a graduate of the University of Cologne and has lived in Germany, Poland, and the U.S. before moving to Canada. Trained as a journalist, his career evolved from reporting for university student newspapers at Berkeley and Cologne to covering breaking news at the international news agency Thomson Reuters and writing financial news in one of the biggest banking centres in Europe. Jan is passionate about finding the stories behind the stories. Having traded the rolling hills of Frankfurt for the coastal mountains of Vancouver, Jan loves the outdoors and is thankful to be an uninvited guest on the ancestral, traditional, and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm people.
