Several B.C. communities see record high temperatures Tuesday

Twenty communities across British Columbia set or tied their record daytime high temperatures Tuesday.

Locally, the mercury in Pitt Meadows soared to 34 Celsius, Abbotsford hit 33 C, and West Vancouver got up to 32.1 C.

The national hotspot was Lytton, at 36.9 C — but this was not a record high for that area.

Wednesday is set to be a cooler day overall.
