Motorcyclist dead after collision with a hatchback on Main Street in Vancouver

The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) says a 63-year-old motorcyclist is dead after a collision with a vehicle in Mount Pleasant.

Police say they responded to reports of the crash in the intersection of Main Street and East 10th Avenue shortly before 9:30 a.m.

The man was taken to hospital, where he died of his injuries, according to a news release from the VPD.

The release says the driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and is cooperating with police.

Collision investigators are looking into the crash.
