An overnight collision between a TransLink bus and a pedestrian in Surrey is being investigated by Surrey Police Service (SPS).
The incident has left the pedestrian with life-threatening injuries, report police.
On Saturday night, around 9:40 p.m., BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) contacted SPS about an injured pedestrian lying in the intersection of 128 Street and 96 Avenue according to the SPS.
The pedestrian, a man, received care at the scene from BCEHS but had to be transported to hospital for treatment for “critical, potentially life-threatening, injuries.”

The investigation has been taken over by SPS’s Collision Investigation Unit.
The investigation into the incident remains in the early stages, says the SPS.
The intersection was closed for several hours during the night but as of Sunday morning is open again.
The SPS is asking for witnesses, those with dashcam footage, or anyone with information to contact them and quote file 26-72005 (SP).
