The Maple Ridge RCMP said Tuesday evening it was responding to reports of shots fired.
Mounties posted on social media shortly after 9:30 p.m., saying they were in the area of Lougheed Highway near Carshill Street.
No further information has been provided.
Photos taken at the scene show several police officers in what appears to be a trailer park. As well, images appear to show emergency responders with weapons drawn. Emergency vehicles can be seen outside a nearby hotel, and at least one helicopter was visible above the scene. It isn’t clear if the helicopter or emergency vehicles were related to the shots-fired report.

We have reached out to the RCMP and BC Emergency Health Services for more information.
Police say they were also called to an unrelated “serious incident” in the area of 287 Street and 112 Avenue around the same time.
