Arrest made following Maple Ridge shooting: RCMP

RCMP in Maple Ridge have announced they have arrested a man in connection with the shooting that happened on Tuesday evening.

The 44-year-old was taken into custody on Thursday, say police.

RCMP say that the man who was arrested was known to police.

The victim of the shooting continues to remain in hospital.

The investigation is ongoing at this time, say the Maple Ridge RCMP Serious Crimes Unit.

Police say they believe that the shooting came from an altercation between the suspect and victim, as they were known to each other.
