Man charged for indecent act at Pacific Centre: VPD

A man is in custody after police say an an indecent act was performed at Vancouver’s Pacific Centre on Wednesday evening, according to the Vancouver Police Department (VPD).

Police say security staff found a 51-year-old man in a stairwell at the downtown shopping centre at about 8 p.m. When he was asked to leave the area, he allegedly exposed himself.

The VPD says Robert Finlay MacLeod was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of performing an indecent act in public after police say he masturbated in the stairwell.

MacLeod remains in custody pending a bail hearing.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.
