VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Crews are back around Grouse Mountain looking for a missing British tourist today.
After today, search crews will have put in over 1,500 hours looking for 22-year-old Tom Billings.
Tim Jones with North Shore Rescue says they will decide tomorrow whether to continue with what he calls “a bad set of cards”.
“The family is very distraught, but they are very understanding and supportive. They’ve been very engaged in watching the video streaming from England, the family and friends. They’ve been marvellous to work with.”
Jones says they will have a conference call with Vancouver Police, Emergency Services and Billings’ family on whether to continue the search.
Over two dozen searchers will be on the ground today in the Hanes Valley area of Grouse Mountain. Billings was last seen November 27th.
