Former mayor clinches only Tory win in Surrey

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – It was s a narrow win former mayor of Surrey.
Dianne Watts came out successful today as a Conservative while all the other ridings went to the Liberals, kicking out all the incumbents.
Watts says she is happy with the win in South Surrey-White Rock, but admits it is bitter-sweet. “We know that change is afoot, but here’s one thing that I do know, is that we are handing over a balanced budget, we are handing over the lowest taxes in the past 50 years to a new government.”
Watts vows to be a good representative in Ottawa “I’m extremely proud of the many accomplishments that this Conservative government and our prime minister have undertaken over the years and I know that there were a lot of promises made throughout this election and I also know that we will also hold them to account.”
Fleetwood-Port Kells incumbent Tory Nina Grewal is out after losing to Liberal Ken Hardie.
Surrey-Newton Liberal Sukh Dhaliwal beat NDP incumbent Jinny Sims.
In Surrey-Centre Liberal Randeep Sarai is the new MP over NDP incumbent Jasbir Sandhu.
