All Southern Gulf Island sailings have also been cancelled.
BC Ferries spokesperson Deb Marshall says the ferries weren’t going anywhere in the morning.
“It’s due to the heavy snow accumulation,” she explained. “The roads in many instances haven’t been ploughed yet, and our customers and employees aren’t able to get to the terminal.”
Services have resumed for some sailings, with updates found at BC Ferries current conditions page.
