Vancouver police say a former Uber driver has been convicted of sexual assault following an investigation that started in 2021.
The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) says this comes after a 21-year-old woman came forward to police following an assault during a trip from Vancouver to Coquitlam in August of that year.
A 69-year-old man was convicted in October of 2022, and sentenced for the crime Jan. 11.

Along with the driving ban, he is also banned from going to all drinking establishments where “minors are prohibited by liquor license,” including bars, liquor stores, and nightclubs.
