If you’re flying in or out of Vancouver International Airport (YVR), or picking up a loved one, it is always a good idea to check your flight status with your airline.
On Friday, NAV CANADA said there were delays at YVR due to “resource constraints.”
“Our team is moving aircraft safely, and as quickly as possible,” the federal air navigation agency shared on social media.
As of around 9 p.m., however, NAV CANADA says the flow of traffic has now returned to normal levels.
As of 11:30 a.m., dozens of flights, inbound and outbound, at YVR were showing as delayed, however, it’s not clear if all of those delays were related to the air traffic control issue. By 10 p.m., however, the number of flights showing as delayed was minimal.
