Surrey house fire sends 5 to hospital

Five people were taken to hospital Thursday morning after a fire at a home in Surrey.
BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) says it responded to reports of a structure fire on 104 Avenue near 129 Street around 4 a.m.

SFS says crews rescued one occupant from the home, but multiple people have been displaced by the fire and multiple people needed medical attention.
BC EHS says five ambulances attended and took five patients hospital.
“Three in stable condition, one in serious condition and one in critical condition,” said Public Information Officer Brian Twaites.



Emergency crews shut down 104 Avenue for several hours, but it has since reopened.
