About Alex
After spending another day of high school in the principal's office, Alex received some sage advice from his guidance counselor at the time: "You need to work on your material, but at least you sound really good when you're doing it. Have you ever considered radio?"
Alex went on to take multiple part-time radio broadcasting courses at BCIT. He graduated the full-time program in 2014.
Alex began working in traffic radio in 2017 and joined the CityNews Vancouver team in 2023. He REALLY hates being stuck in traffic!
He has also carved out an impressive sports resume, which includes work with the BC Lions and Vancouver Whitecaps radio broadcasts, as well as multiple hockey leagues through B.C. as a play-by-play host.
Outside of radio, Alex adores music, playing guitar, and going to concerts. He also likes going to the gym, playing ball hockey, spending time with his brother and family, and is an avid fan of professional wrestling.
