The RCMP says emergency crews responded to a large fire at a barn in north Langley Friday afternoon.
Police say when crews arrived, the barn — located on 102B Avenue, just west of 208 Street — was fully engulfed in flames.

“Multiple police resources are currently on scene, working in coordination with the Township of Langley Fire Department,” Sgt. Zynal Sharoom said.
“We are in the very early stages of this investigation, and as such, a significant police presence will remain in the area.”
BC Emergency health services says it was called to the scene shortly before 12:30 p.m.
“One ambulance with primary care paramedics and one ambulance with advanced care paramedics responded to the scene,” Brian Twaites, paramedic public information officer, said Friday afternoon.
“Paramedics assessed two patients who did not require hospital transport. The ambulances remain staged at the scene at this time.”

CityNews spoke to the owner of the property, who says she suspects a worker may have been involved in starting the blaze. She says she and the worker got into an altercation before the fire was sparked. Nothing has been confirmed by official sources, and investigators say it is too early to know what caused this fire.
