Let there be light! Now in its 28th year, Lights of Hope is a beloved holiday tradition in Vancouver.
From November 28th to January 2nd, Lights of Hope will once again shine bright over Burrard Street to show donor support for patients, residents, and frontline heroes across BC presented in part by 1130 NewsRadio Vancouver.
At the darkest time of year, when patients, residents, and families need hope more than ever, Lights of Hope shines with all of the joy and wonder of the holiday season. Your donation to Lights of Hope supports innovative research, compassionate care for patients, and life-enriching activities for residents in long-term care. Hope is a journey.
And things all kick off with the annual Lights of Hope lighting celebration on Thursday, November 27, 2025 outside St. Paul’s Hospital. Kick off the holiday season at the free, family-friendly event running from 6-8 pm, where you can:
- See the fabulous display light up for the first time in 2025, ushered in with fireworks;
- Take a holiday photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus (suggested donation $20);
- Check out live musical performances by Vancouver Bach Choir, West End Children’s Choir, and the What’s Next Band;
- Enjoy a hot drink from Beyond Coffee and Starbucks or a treat from local food trucks Hugs Mini Donuts and Gary’s Kettle Corn;
- Visit the Gift of Hope tent to enter our prize draw or donate to support St. Paul’s Foundation
This year’s lighting celebration promises to be the most special yet, you don’t want to miss it!
Lights of Hope is one of St. Paul’s Foundation’s largest community fundraising campaigns—raising more than $57 million over the past 27 years for hundreds of thousands of patients and residents across Providence Health Care and throughout BC from donors and communities across British Columbia.
Help St. Paul’s reach their $3.7 million fundraising goal for our 28th annual Lights of Hope.
Give today to bring hope to patients and frontline health care workers now, and in the future.
