Surrey to undergo a facelift

SURREY (NEWS1130) – Surrey has gone to great lengths to portray its community as safe and family-friendly, and an event on Monday is another step in that direction. The City will unveil the winning entries in “TownShift: Suburb into City,” a competition to redesign five town centres: Guildford, Semiahmoo, Cloverdale Fleetwood and Newton.

The city received 138 submissions from designers in 20 different countries, and winners were announced in February. The public is invited to give feedback on the designs tomorrow at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, starting at 6:00 p.m.
