The Lions step back in time

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The B.C. Lions all-time leading receiver Geroy Simon along with the legendary Jim Young were on-hand at Empire Field after the morning walk-thru to reveal the team’s latest uniform as part of the CFL’s Retro Funk initiative this season.

The Lions will sport the 1976-inspired Reebok uniform in the games against the Calgary Stampeders and Toronto Argonauts later this summer.

The solid orange jersey sports the large black number on the front and back and white trim at the base of the sleeves. The uniform comes with the black helmet that has orange racing stripes, featuring the classic orange lions head with the black B.C. letters.

Fans can begin purchasing the retro jersey at the game against Montreal this Friday or through the team website bclions.com.
