Is Vancouver lacking charisma?

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Loaded with good looks, and even money. But perhaps a little lacking in substance. On the heels of another international award for liveability, a column in today’s Province suggests Vancouver is lacking charisma.
“Hard to make friends here,” and “stuck up;” The column puts in ink the things we criticize ourselves for. But we met one globe-trotter who suggests maybe we’re being a bit harsh.
“It takes two people to make a relationship,” he says. “So, if you approach a Vancouverite and smile, strike up a conversation, I don’t think that’s too hard a thing to do.”
The latest addition to Vancouver’s trophy case comes from the Economist calling ours the most liveable city.
