VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Kelowna Rockets handed the Vancouver Giants their eighth straight defeat with a 3-1 victory. Abbotsford native Geordie Wudrick scored a pair for the first place Rockets.
The game marked the return of Vancouver leading scorer Brendan Gallagher who missed a half dozen games with a concussion. He managed an assist on Neil Manning’s power play goal in the last minute of the game.
Vancouver remains in sixth spot in the Western Conference, one point back of Chilliwack. The Bruins lost in Tri Cities 6-1.
The Giants meet the Rockets in Kelowna on Saturday while the Bruins play their final regular season game at home versus Everett.
